Yeah, it is complex, and the nature of it makes it hard to provide transparency. I’m just hoping they will find a way to make it a little less vague. ;-)
Taxes . . . that’s a whole ‘nother story. Do you have an ITIN (International Taxpayer Identification Number) from the IRS? Getting one is a bit of a pain, but if you have one you should be able to give that to a U.S. company that’s paying you and avoid withholding if your earnings are below the threshold for your country (which is based on treaties the U.S. has with each country).
