Curious and sometimes amusing as well as informative
My top-performing Medium story in both reads and views is all about using writing prompts. I guess Medium readers like to be prompted to write? At any rate, it’s my only story with over 1K reads. In fact, it’s now closing in on 2K.
My distant-second-place story, now approaching 900 reads, is on creativity. Writing prompts, creativity . . . I sense a theme, which is interesting but not half as amusing as what happens with my third and fourth place stories.
#3: “I Did All That?” (on building up a body of work) — 777 reads
#4: “Alluring Alliteration . . . Or Not” (about, hey, alliteration) — 666 reads
Those two have been stuck at their respective places for some time now. One might regard 666 as an alliterative number, or maybe just an appropriate one since some writers regard alliteration as a demonic contrivance. It’s neighbor must have been possessed by it, too, although being about persistence and accumulation, it just had to do the alliteration story one…
